Instantly recognisable, Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut is the maison signature champagne and the one against which all others are judged balancing strength, aromatic intensity and freshness.Created for a British market that desired wines, Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label was trademarked in 1877 and has been used to toast events big and small ever since.

BLEND AND ORIGIN

This signature champagne gains its structure from the predominant presence of pinot noir (50-55%), roundness from meunier (15-20%) and elegance from chardonnay (28-33%). The grapes are sourced from 50 to 60 crus, and the blend comprises 25-45% reserve wines that have been aged up to 15 years.

First, Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label looks beautiful: golden-yellow, with a foaming necklace of tiny bubbles. Next it is so pleasing to the nose: initially reminiscent of yellow and white fruits, then of vanilla and later of brioche. Note the balance between the fruity aromas coming from the grape varieties and the toasty aromas, result of the three years of bottle aging. The sip delivers all the freshness and strength so typical of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label with a symphony of fruit tastes following on (pear, lemon).
